Q. Who needs therapy?
A. Not restricted to anyone or any condition… anyone who is struggling with life stress / Emotions, relationship issues/ struggle with self-worth, unhelpful ways to cope with life’s struggles and struggling to make headway in life can benefit from therapy.
Q. Why therapy?
A. Don’t want to be told to get toughen up, it will be ok, you are weak etc etc… talking to someone or discussing what is going on inside your mind sometimes is very difficult. At times it is a challenge to speak to friends or family as they can only do so much…That is when someone with specialist knowledge, training and experience can effectively guide you towards understanding and managing your problems without having to cost your relationship, health, job or other negative consequences. You will not be judged or undermined, but appreciated for who you are and what you bring to the therapy. In return, you will be guided to explore your values, which you may have forgotten or drifted off which could bring a much needed meaning and richness into your life.
Q. When is the right time sees Psychologist?
A. When you are losing sleep, found yourself worrying or thinking about problems constantly, others noticing change in your behaviors, increased unhelpful ways to cope (working hard / long hours, getting irritable, consuming more alcohol or other forms of drugs), lack of motivation, avoiding to meet others becoming somewhat anti everything, not exercising and frequently arguing with others or becoming cold towards others or stop caring others are the signs you need help.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Usually 90 minutes initial consultation and subsequent follow up about 60 minutes sessions, consultation fee is based on hourly rate of $185 GST inclusive. You may qualify for some financial assistance so check with your GP, ACC, insurance and employer assistance programme.
Q. Therapy over telephone or Skype possible?
A. Yes, however only for the follow-ups where it is impossible to meet face to face.

A. No

A. After Hours yes, but not weekend.
